Outside of the map corrections and saving it every so often ( sometimes when I run a past race on a horse it bombs) it really is a great game. But I can’t help but feel they could have had a real winner here and just maybe it was all too much to correct.Įdit: I have played it quite a bit and have upped it to 4 stars. I will try again, only saving and restoring a lot. They don’t appear to be supporting this game anymore. And when I did try to email them directly, their email address is no longer there. And the email link on their website they says the link doesn’t work.

Last update on this app store was June 2016. It appears the writers have given up on this game. Poof! Back to the desktop with all progress lost. Until one spot after hours of playing when I tried to play back a race on a horse I was thinking of buying. Took most of the night.Īnd after that it was a grand game. With some work and searching the forum I managed to write over a data file and get the tracks put in the right place. Starting from the map locations with courses and stables all screwed up to a couple misspellings in the game. As far as the Apple app version, I’m afraid that may be the case too. If you have ever dealt with Steam you know that things will not work right. Outstanding concept though for the ones that know. But if you don’t know horse racing the learning curve may be tough. The Good: If you know something about handicapping and have always wanted to be an owner and/or trainer, this game is the best.

I have a MacBook Pro which should be plenty for this. I quick edit of the cooridinates on the course file fixed it, but that might be a good update as well. Oh only thing I did notice though was that the US tracks were not in the right spots on the map.

I know there are fewer Mac gamers than PC, but we are here and grateful for those that put out their games for both platforms. I hope this game will continue to be updated and kept current. I tend to watch the races and use the jockey orders and shout out cards and have better luck winning that way. I am just starting to get the hang of jockey mode but haven’t one using it yet. I do love that I can game anywhere and have been addicted to this game since I bought it. It runs well and the graphics look great even though my computer is no where near a gaming machine.

I decided to purchase the full game on the mac app store and the game is simply flawless. Low and behold it worked and worked well. Well I found Starters Orders 6 and downloaded the Mac Demo. I kinda gave up on gaming when I got my macbook air as I didn’t think it really could handle much in the way of gaming.
