A major theme among secondary teachers in informal discussions at both conferences is whether and how the requirements for problem-solving at GCSE will affect teaching throughout secondary. As OUP was sponsoring the MA conference it was well attended by authors and publishing people.

Nemo wakes up and the three fish are free and ready to start a new life.I attended both conferences over Easter, ATM and MA. Marlin finds Nemo on the sea ground and hopes for the best. the net eventually breaks and all the fish are free but along the way Nemo was hurt. The huge group of fish listen and swim, KEEP SWIMMING< KEEP SWIMMING they all say. Nemo knew what to do because he had a similar experience in the fish tank he was held captive in. Nemo fits through the net and his dad reluctantly listens to what he says. Nemo knows he can fix it and he tells his dad to trust him. But as they swim through a group of Tuna fish, a boat is above them and scoops up the fish including Dory. Everyone is relieved and they know things are gonna be OK. This is a scene where Marlin and Dory have found Nemo. After everything the three fish, Nemo, Marlin and Dory have all learned something along the journey to find Nemo. This scene is also significant scene as it shows how Marlin finally learns to trust Nemo and it builds the relationship between the two. But Dory needs to learn the not all things are good and in this instance they are swallowed by the whale. This is an important scene as Marlin learns that he needs to be more relaxed and to take things more positively. Out of no where the whale comes up behind them and swallows them. They are both stuck now but as usual dory is still happy. Dory tries to speak whale but has no idea how to.Both were cautious when it approached them, but the whale turned back. Both of them have no clue what the creature was until it came closer to them and they soon figured out it was a whale.
Dory talks Marlin into it and he also learns that sometimes he needs to give things a go. Dory finds a sea creature and decides to ask for directions but Marlin says no as he thinks its a bad idea. They are in an open, clear area and they are isolated. This is a scene where Marlin and Dory are lost and have no idea where to go.

It also shows how Marlin is usually very uptight and quite a negative fish but in this instance Marlin learns how to give things a go and lets Dory do what she thinks is best. It shows how Dory sees things in a very positive way and is not afraid to give things a go. This is another key scene as it displays the two different characters,Marlin and Dory in comparison. In the other hand Nemo needs to accept the fact that there a things that fish can and cant do. So to recap this scene, Marlin is too protective and needs to relax more. This leads to Nemo getting fish-napped by a human diver. As a kind of protest against his dad, Nemo swims out to the bout and touches it. After Marlin has finished screaming at him, he starts to talk to the teacher about him. But his dad comes to find him and is very disappointed with what he sees. The group of friends challenge each other to see who can get the closest to the boat but Nemo was cautious because of his upbringing. Nemo and his friends find something interesting and out of the ordinary. He knows he shouldn't be there and is cautious when leaving the group but he does it because he just wants to fit in on his first day of school.
This is a scene where Nemo drifts off with his friends into an open area where he shouldn't be. It also shows that Nemo is a very adventurous fish and he doesn't always obey the rules. This is a very important scene as it shows how Marlin is too protective and sometimes goes over the top.
